Easter Fun Day

On Thursday this week we had a Easter fun day in Room 14.

We started the day by doing a variety of Easter art activities including making an Easter bunny hat, painting an Easter bunny, decorating an Easter egg and making an Easter basket.

After morning tea Room 14 were very lucky to have a special guest come in and see us. It was a pet bunny Rabbit. All the students got the chance to stroke the rabbit and then ask the owner a few questions about how to look after and care for the pet.

Once our guest had left the students worked very hard on an Easter egg maths tally marking activity all together. The students had to tally mark the different coloured Easter Eggs going into the basket. It was great to see the amazing concentration shown by the students. Next the students moved onto a Easter egg maths matching activity, it was great to hear all the students using one to one counting. There was also some fast finishers who then helped a friend to complete their work.

Hope you enjoy looking at our Easter fun day and have a great time with your family and friends over the long Easter weekend.

Investigation Times

In the Rainbow Team this year we have been doing Investigation time each day.

This is a time when the children choose their own learning and are able to investigate things they are passionate about.

It is a great time for working together, problem solving, being creative and finding out about the world and how it works.

We have been having great fun during Investigation times - check out some of the things we have been up to this term.

Investigating the water beads
Planning a party

What a lot of investigating fun!
