During Ready Steady Go this week the students created their very own monsters using small paper bags and coloured paper. The students did a fantastic job at cutting and pasting. It was great to see all the different shapes being used and identified by all the students.

Fantastic Friday
Every Friday in Room 14 is Ready Steady Go. This is where students who are going to be joining the class come for a visit until lunch time. We started off the morning doing some brain exercise to music using our Rakau sticks. The students listen to the instructions on the song and see if they can follow along with the beat and the action. It is a great way for the students to get their brains engaged ready for the day.
After getting our brains nice and warm. We re read our one of our books of the week. The New Cat. The book is about a cat who eats lots of different things from the house with a gobble gobble. The students then went off and drew their very own Greedy cats and cut out 5 pictures from magazines to show what they cat had eaten. The students then practiced writing the word of the week 'the' above each picture and read them out loud.
