This week Room 14 have been enjoying some maths challenges.
The first one was to make number lines.
We had to cut and paste numbers in the correct order to make long number lines.
Some people made number lines to 10 and some others took up the challenge of making number lines to 20.
We had lots of counting and ordering number SUPER STARS!
Our next maths challenge was a statistics investigation.
Our word of the week this week was 'like'.
We had to taste some different foods and decide which ones we liked and which ones we didn't like.
The children did a great job of collecting all their data.
We then counted how many things we liked and didn't like.
Some of the foods were a lot more popular than others.
Some of the foods were a lot more popular than others.
Here we are tasting and collecting data.
Some children have also been doing some measuring during Investigation time and have been challenging themselves to make tall towers.
Here are some tall towers we have been making.
Unfortunately some of our towers didn't stay tall for too long!
We sure do 'like' maths in Room 14!

Well done Room 14. I always 'like' reading about all of the exciting things you do in your classroom. :-)
