Harold the Giraffe Inspired Artwork

In the second session of Ready Steady Go this Friday, Room 14 did some guided drawing artwork. This art was inspired by our visit to the life education truck on this week. Firstly the students had to follow step by step instruction at drawing the outline shape of the giraffe and then adding extra details such as spots and hairs.

Once drawn students went over the pencil lines to make the picture more defined with a sharpie. Next the students went to the painting table to use water colours to paint their giraffe yellow and brown. It was great to see the fine motor skills and concentration displayed by the students to add all the colour details to their picture.

Finally the students went to the second painting table to create the background of their picture this was done using green and blue dye.

Please enjoy the photographs of the progress through each stage of the artwork.
