Loose Parts Obstacle Course

Last week Room 14 were very lucky to be given lots of old car tyres to use during investigation time. On the day they were delivered the students imaginations went wild and they were being used for all sorts of games and construction. During investigation time today Tiwini decided that he wanted to use them to make an obstacle course. He used the tyres and other items found in Room 14's outdoor space. He decided that the grass was hot lava and the students had to make their way from the sandpit to the trampoline and back to the sandpit without touching the grass. After Tiwini had begun his construction it inspired others to join in, soon there was a complete obstacle course for all to share. It was amazing to see all the imagination and problem solving skills displayed by all students involved.
